Who is Chris Staples?
Christon “Chris” Staples is a professional dunker, actor and content creator, and the founder of Global Dunk Empire. He was born in Saginaw, Michigan, raised mostly in the Detroit area, spent three years with the Harlem Globetrotters, and now lives in Los Angeles, California. He holds two Guinness World Records for slam dunking, starred as Michael Diggs in the 2017 film Slamma Jamma, and has competed twice on American Ninja Warrior.
What exactly is Global Dunk Empire?
A company that puts on professional dunk shows. In its own words, it “was created to bring the best dunkers in the world together to create, inspire and entertain.” Five dunkers are published on the roster. The executive team is Chris Staples (founder), Tammy Brawner (co-founder) and Colby Schinto (marketing).
What kinds of events do they do?
Nine formats are published: corporate events, birthday parties, grand openings, dunk contests, camps (either fully hosted or as special guest), fan meet-and-greet appearances, promotional appearances, signings, and school appearances for all ages and grade levels.
How much does it cost to book them?
No price is published — not a day rate, not a package, not a minimum, not a deposit. Every engagement is quoted individually after an enquiry. Any number you see quoted as “Global Dunk Empire’s price” elsewhere did not come from the company. Fees are quoted on enquiry only.
How do I book?
Use the official form at globaldunkempire.com/hire-us, or email globaldunkempire@gmail.com. For sponsorship and brand campaigns rather than a single event, the published management address is staples@longhaulmgmt.com. The booking page lists what to include.
Do they travel internationally?
Yes. Chris Staples has performed in over 70 countries and the company has worked with partners including China’s largest basketball tournament. What travel costs and how they are billed is not published — confirm this in writing before booking.
Is there a phone number?
No. No telephone number, WhatsApp line or physical address is published for the business. The published channels are the enquiry form and the two email addresses.
Where can I buy the merch? I heard the store link is broken.
The old link, fanarch.com/collections/chris-staples, does now return a 404 — it stopped working some time after 7 February 2026. But the merchandise itself is fine: all 23 Chris Staples products are still live and buyable on Fan Arch. Use the merch page here, which links every product directly, or search Fan Arch for “chris staples”.
Does Global Dunk Empire sell the merch itself?
No. Merchandise is sold, printed and shipped by Fan Arch, an independent retailer. Fan Arch takes the payment and handles returns under its own policies. globaldunkempire.com/merch is a photo gallery with no shop attached.
What do the products cost?
Published Fan Arch prices run from $17.99 for an iPhone case to $48.49 for a hoodie in an extended size. Every price is on the merch page, taken directly from the live listings.
Can I book a camp or clinic online?
No. There is no online camp registration, ticketing page or checkout of any kind. Camps run through the same booking enquiry as everything else.
Is there a schedule of upcoming shows?
No public schedule, calendar or ticketing page is published. The company’s Live Updates page has not had a new photo since 2019. The live source is Instagram @everybody_hatechriss, which posts daily. Upcoming dates are not published.
Does he do school assemblies and speaking?
Yes. School appearances for all ages and grade levels are one of the published formats, and his Instagram bio lists “Motivational Speaker”. An independent write-up by Royal Basketball School of a 23 November 2024 session describes both a dunk demonstration and a talk on vertical leap, strength and mindset for the kids.
How many followers does he actually have?
As of 26 August 2026: 989K YouTube subscribers, 456K Instagram followers, 146.0K Threads followers, and 11K on the company account @globaldunkempire. His own Instagram bio still says “980k subs on Youtube”, which is now out of date. The TikTok follower count could not be read.
What is the cancellation policy?
Global Dunk Empire publishes none. See the cancellation page for what that means and what to agree in writing instead.
