The founder, verified
Christon “Chris” Staples
Born in Saginaw, Michigan and raised mostly in the Detroit area, Chris Staples spent three years with the Harlem Globetrotters before founding Global Dunk Empire. He now lives in Los Angeles, California.
He starred as Michael Diggs in the 2017 theatrical feature Slamma Jamma, holds two Guinness World Records for slam dunking — one of them for the most blindfolded dunks in one minute — and has competed on American Ninja Warrior twice, in seasons 14 and 16.
